Both legs were broken, left hip and wrist broken, left foot smashed, neck bone C5 was cracked. I've done a lot of physical therapy over the years, and I continue to work out in a pool so I can stay active. I walk with a limp, and I deal with chronic pain. With all the injuries to my legs, I've developed arthritis in my knees. It didn't help that I broke my left ankle last summer. I doubt my ankle would have smapped like it did if legs weren't already so messed up. My left leg is held together with pins and plates. My right leg is rotated out about 10 degrees. Kind of like when you smash a plate and glue it back together--some of the pieces get chipped and don't go back into place in exact alignment.
