CB, lots of people at Jesus' time & afterwards didn't understand Jesus...how could HE be God & getting hung at the tree...the cross...the gnostics tried to "salvage" that situation and I guess you're familiar with doketism...you should read & probably have read, how the apostolic fathers - before that St. John - have "rattled" against that misconcept.

For them that was no joke either...they took that very serious...now the clip is not saying anywhere...that I realised yet/know of...that it couldn't be a sarcastic portray of Jesus, the way it/he looks to some unbeliever, mocker...& if that is truly the case, the way it seemed to me....then
it's not funny, cause Jesus is something unspeakably valued to believers & by mocking Christ, you have mocked then also the believers.

I doubt, that early Christians said to some mocking mob/crowd...come on, mock some more, it feels really good....I guess, they got comforted deeply inside, but they weren't looking forward necessarily to be confronted with an antagonistic crowd, may be with some exceptions.

I thank you for you input about nature & I think nature is in a very sad state....I did laugh about the poor icebear at the same given link, though I realise, that his "fate" & that of his colleagues
up north is a very bad one...if you'd ask me what the difference is...I believe God is saving the world from mad man...including animals...so I can laugh about creatures in the same "madhouse", but not about mocking the creator.
