Sometimes it pays to ask back how a wording is /was meant...I did not refer to this board when I used the phrasing vicious...if you take the whole historical context, even present events, attacks towards believers, especially in Muslim or Hindu countries into account not to speak of communistic countries,...well, then I don't think I have to apologise for picking that word...don't you think so?...
My "advantage" is, I can somewhat "rationalise" my belief...I am not so sure, whether you can rationalise very well your unbelief...
Where did I show my disrespect for your choice...it's a bit strange, that many defenders
of atheism often come with heavy "shells", amunition...wordings, when they see the Christian
defends with slang words like "crap" etc his point of view...it's streetlingo...maybe, but it's supposed to get some point across...to think the Christian is on a jihad per se...especially the fundamentalists is "giving -false- honour to whom it is not due" so to speak...if opposers of abortion, homosexuality under the cloak of Christianity...misguided or whatever...resort to
violence...well, that has to answer someday the respective person in front of the ultimate judge.
However I reserve myself the right on a public board to say loud & clear my opinion...clarifying as good as possible concepts & misconcepts of faith.
That in in the process you might get targeted should not surprise you...are you surprised...no!?!
I am not against comedy & have greatly profited from a good laugh & not just once in a great while
after leaving TF...I am not surprised that you found the clip funny nor the life of Brian...but it's just not my humour...it depends, who is targeted & granted, you can make fun about everything.
..right now there is a parody, a movie in Germany released...making fun of Hitler....starring a very funny German actor & very good musician...directed by a Jew....you can bet, that the movie has been discussed controversially.
