I am somewhat reminded of the buddhistic saying:the way is the goal...I don't know if you meant that.

But I beg to differ: If I am thirsty in the desert, then I am really determined to find water, it's a matter of life & death. If I have peace about dieing, then it doesn't matter, especially if I sense time is up...but that's not the analogy I meant, cause we're already on the spiritual plane:
I meant the "normal" attitude, the natural for living beings is the drive, the quest for water, when thirsty & it's not something you can go very long without..except for some "saints" etc...

In that sense the "sufficient", the right way,
path is the one which leads to water & since the desert is rather void of water, that absence is "my" problem, or any persons problem. That means, there is no easy, immediate knowledge, which direction under heaven could lead straight to some water...

In the looking lies the answer?!Jesus talked about the blind leading the blind...some think that they're seeing , but are rather blind...I refer to my post below about the origin of the word mysticism...it can mean closing the eyes, eyes shut...if we deliberately do it-physically!- to protect us from too much sunlight it's one thing in the physical realm (it reminds me of some people I encountered in my early twens, who thought it to be of spiritual significance, if they'd manage to gaze fully into the sun with open eyes & not just at sunset, but when it shines brightly)....another thing is to close your eyes when they should be open...I had 6 years ago a second-sleep or whatever the term is while driving & that wasn't very funny...quite sobering...

It also reminds me of the reports of physicists who seem to indicate, that the observer of an experiment - conducting it - seems to influence the experiment itself...

My stance is: God has to open our eyes...as Jesus did it physically to some blind people it has to be done likewise to us in the spiritual...otherwise it'd implied, that I can
discover the truth by myself...I am not convinced of that...for there is too much "maya" around...like the illusional water in the desert...the fata morgana.
