Spirit does not mean ghosts when I say spiritual.
It is about a driving force in life that is compassionate, passionate, creative, caring, generous, basically qualities that are universally admired.
Atheists can have those qualities and so can Christians just as some Atheists don't have them and some Chrisitians don't. That is what I mean by spiritual. Spiritual is about depth of character and not focused solely on the material and with no regard for the world around you except how it can be used.
You seem to think that is what an Atheist is by definition. It is not.
There is no defintion of character for an Atheist or a Catholic or a Protestant. Character is an inside condition and some people that are any of the above and any other persuasion have depth of character.
