Thinker, thank you for your warm tone...I just felt I needed some analogy, metaphor, parabel...to illustrate something very simple: if I am fat, it6 doesn't help me to think/pretend I am slim...I am sure someone can construct a wisdom-filled story, where it gets shown, that in the end you can hurt yourself by not being strict & honest with yourself & others or precise...Susie objected to any suggestion of not being open & honest & I believe her...leaves the suggestion to be precise & that is in life hard...it's mostly (or always) approximatively...however a Buddhist is no Muslim, a Muslim is no Christian & a Catholic is not a Protestant etc. etc. also a Buddhist & an Atheist
might not be the same ...you know, in Germany you have to say ibn your tax declaration which religion you belong to...cause part of your incometax is the basis for calculating the "churchtax"...so many people left the churches, first, since it doesn't mean anything to them (it's also called indifference by some) & also to avoid paying the tax...so for those it "pays" to know what to believe or not to believe...
I already questioned Susie about the humanist-"drawer"...I doubt it...Erasmus is a "saint of a believing humanist"...although Luther was at odds with him about the free will subject.
But may be I fail to think of the atheistic humanists...any suggestions?(Must be famous though ; ) )
I think it's not hitting the nerve/the core/kernel...I like to know more about Susie, but often in the past Susie was famous for poignant, goodwilled...short remarks....not exactly the chatterbox women are supposed to be, but I guess she keeps it short in her wisdom ; )
