You did read the end though? The attraction for
adaptionists...& other theorists of evolution for the invisible, the supernatural...God still exists
except for "funny" people like R.Dawkins...
If you cannot provide a proof for the nonexistence of God, it's just more "polite", to accept just for "peace's" sake & that of fair dialogue the other stance...the status quo...something Gould seemed to have favoured.
I can accept agnostics, but (many) atheists are a bit luny to me..sorry guys...or to somewhat mellowing that statement, at least they're hypocrits, (actors...as the old meaning of the word goes): they claim to know something, which they cannot prove to the non-knowing & attack them heavily for not understanding them (if they are sooooooo smart, why don't they give a mathematical proof for that???)...in that they are no different from some religious lunies.
I'd advise some atheists to really dig into the arguments of "rationalists" with scepticists, the latter argue, that we cannot be sure about our knowledge of the outside world...("is that really a lark over there"?)...to be a bit familiar with the dream-hypothesis, Descartes & the brain in the tank...the evil scientists, who makes us believe this & the other...For the scepticists are a thorn in the flesh of people like R.Dawkins & other staunch materialists.
I think the study of delusions(also optical ones) is also worthwhile, to see, that we're not at all such a knowing bunch of people..not to speak of byproducts of Heisenberg, Gödel & quantum-physics.
I know, that I don't know
& I know, what I feel inside...emphasis inside...not o u t s i d e...when it comes to Jesus Christ...my & other people's saviour...
It's similar to what that one scientist said in that article about his wife loving him...he believes it from day to day living with her & so what if other scientists "prove" the same to be
"true"....what nonsense of scientific "effort".
