If you read the article a little closer Mr Don you'll notice that most of the views expressed in the article are those of Bishop Carlton Pearson who "... has known Haggard since they were classmates at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa in the 1970s." The opinions are those of a former "leading light of the contemporary Pentecostal -- or charismatic -- movement until he rejected the concept of hell a few years ago." To write them off because they are expressed in "a left leaning anti-evangelical web-site" or because you consider him a backslider is to completely miss the point of the article.

Of course, you are welcome to your opinion that homosexuality can be cured in two weeks, as apparently happened with Haggard, but as this and other recent articles and discussions here point out, it is that doctrinal position that causes so much harm to people because it just isn't true, no matter how much you believe it.

I don't think there can be any meeting of the minds on this issue between believers who hold the same opinions as you do and non-believers. I don't think it is possible to debate someone whose fall back position is always "it's true because the Bible says so."
