Just some links, I had googled: OT and homosexuality.

whenever I read Genesis 19:5 I always thought that the men(ish=man) of Sodom wanted intercourse with them...they wanted: to know them...see in the links about the word yada....I mean, why would Lot think their thoughts/desires/plans to be wicked?Verse 7

Of all things, he offered his virgin daughters instead...to talk to them? They probably already knew them, the people of the city...see the links for further details about those OT- scriptures and Jesus rather confirmed and toughened the rules regarding sex...or marriage if you may...so Paul having that heritage, background, I mean, how on earth do we get libertinism into it...similar to TF?Even the KGJ version doesn't really use the best possible translation in Mt 24:12 : And because lawlessness (anomia )-iniquity- shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.I don't think you can have a blessed love affair outside of God's ordained way of life/laws...my take! I experienced that to the point of many heartbreakes.

Israel was later fully aware of how the heathen differed (badly in morality)from them & I guess, they were proud of it.

I am pretty familiar with the reports of the sex-practices of the heathen...quite a "shock" was the recently aquired "ars erotica veterum"...more fotographies, more explanations...so I am aware of the sexual inclinations of those days, also that plenty of roman emperors were homosexual & other than the greeks with special preferation for young men (not little children!!!-from what I read), their lovers seem to me to have been grown ups?!But why would that help any?Being against pedophilia (Paul that is), but pro adult homosexuality...you can read that into scripture???

Anyway, lets look at the scripture in Romans (keeping the OT in mind!!!) in Romans 1:27 it talks about men arsaen in Greek, otherwise anaer seems to be very common in ancient Greek literature...however that is the same word which
is used in Matthew 19:4 male/female, referring to Genesis...and Adam was not a child, nor a young lad...you have to use all the context possible, available & not jerk the verses out of the whole context.

Judgement of Sodom & of Ham makes no sense, if there wasn't something more than just seeing by chance or getting to "meet the strangers"...I mean, that is a silly interpretation IMO.

Further, about the word heresy: "For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you." 1.Cor.11:18,19 heresies: is explained as schools, parties/from haireo to choose.

So we/you choose...If the majority in the church has very upsetting doctrines for my liking/thinking/believing & won't change => I leave, plenty of other ones around...if few remain within with unscriptural way of life etc. I hope & pray for a change & "endure" it for now...plus I am not a registered member of the church I go to now...I am cured from that one through TF and church history.

Actually I don't care, if "my" interpretaion doesn't jive with that of many churches.2 1/2 ago I googled about divorce & remarriage & visited about a good hundred websites, mostly in English, plus reading many books on that subject & I tell you, it's amazing the difference between the two camps.

CB, I have to answer God, what I lived & believed & if I am not fully convinced of a some supposed freedom, if I don't find it in the scriptures, well then I don't & shouldn't do it...I can't justify my deeds with the excuse, oh pastor/reverend so and so preached/taught us that...in fact many pastors, when coming from college have stauncher believes as later, when they compromise for money & the "flocks sake"

Maybe heresy is a heavy loaded word from your catholic background?I am only familiar with some of their dogmas & who is according to them a heretic...but that might not be/ is not always the reflection of Bibleteaching, but rather catholic dogma having evolved through the millenia..

As far as any homosexual couples you know...well, so what, sorry, ... one of my favourite German comedians is homosexual...he is very funny, but that doesn't change my opinion about homosexuality.
