Farmer, that sounds like the theology of someone who cherry-picks only those teachings of Jesus they are comfortable with, and ignores the more troublesome teachings. For example, what is the real difference between a believer who is "willing to chop the opponents head off" and Jesus teaching that he was the ONLY way to God and anyone who doesn't believe or accept that will burn in hell?
I really don't see any difference. They are both intolerant extremists who see nothing wrong with killing or torturing those who disagree with them.
I get sick and tired of people holding Jesus up as the shining example of goodness and morality. Sure he said a few good things (that is, if he actually said them at all), but he also said some pretty nasty, hateful things too. I'm convinced that the world would have been a lot better off without Jesus than with him, regardless of whether he was real or not.
