I think there is much to learn from nature. What humans have that is different, to put it simply and imo, is the ability to do great good, great wrong, some or lots of both, or nothing at all but exist. So while there are bloody wars, genocide, etc, we have the knowledge of cures, preventions, healing that keep growing with time.
I believe that humans regardless of race, creed, culture, religion, or no religion are capable of great good.
