These various threads of conversation started with the post by Katie titled "global warming and Christian faith". In these various threads I have posted as Billy Boy, BB and Bertrand Russel.

The following are excerpts from Farmer's posts in these threads that are specifically directed at me. They illustrate his penchant for ad hominem arguments instead of addressing the arguments I make. When a general argument, that is, one that is not directed at his person but at the issue at hand, backs Farmer against the wall he does two things: he launches into theological diatribes that skirt the issue and he launches into condescending personal attacks filled with self-righteous sarcasm, snide put-downs, erroneous assumptions, etc. Read for yourself how often he does the latter in just this one thread, remembering that all these comments are directed at my person rather than the arguments I made:

"It's obvious, that you didn't spend too much time in the family...or you would have read at least "The proof"...prophecy & fulfillment (messianic) lined up...a not too bad work of TF in the late seventies...I 've seen something similar recently by a messianic, fundamentalist (non TF !) Jew & obviously that knowledge existed already long before Berg came along...so you missed that...so it's obvious you have such a mixed up view of Christ (and the Bible)...In a way I suggest, that you get first busy reading something along that line, before your opinion of the Bible gets even lower than the low level you already attained.Pity!!"

". so it's great to have you intervening every now and then on the behalf of the poor posters like BB, who just post a lot of unsubstantiated garbage, just to prove/excuse their personal dislike for Christianity."

"I agree, that my comment...the one you quoted...was quite judgemental/ a prejudice...a judgement without having all the facts about BB....it simply is beyond me, how someone with this knowledge (like that in the The proof contained) could possible deviate so much from the truth....my only explanation was: not read/or not understood ...sorry, any other possibilities didn't come to my mind."

"I have the feeling you're not "great" (small/humble)enough to realise that. I pity whom I want to pity by the way...it's not always fair...but my pity was meant as it is: human reaction.I'd rather would like you to have a different stance, but I see you can't help it.Tough (for me....and you).Have a wonderful life in your (neon)light."

"You may want to enlarge your knowledge about Hitler."

"Sorry, where is your googling-power/ability?"

"Did you ponder about that? You know what kind of wars those monsters fought?Against their own people...not in the name of atheism, but with an atheistic heart & mind & their helpers had the same mind, it seems to me...so what difference does that make for the very sad end-result of their "wonderful" projects to "help" their people/mankind....the "byproducts" are millions of dead people...none of them are your relatives, right?Or may be you would otherwise forego the luxury to philosophise at your comfortable desk whether Hitler was an atheist or not."

" What do you know BB, what would they (the above three) say, you claim to know?Aren't you a bit too positivistic??? Did you ever care to read about/from Gödel?"

"Oh you don't need that??!You're belonging to the goodie-troop...(Weinberg-definition) Don't you desert that fine troop..."

". furthermore you & your like are good & smart & strong enough...to not needing Him anymore...say...where can the world "worship" those kind of people...excuse my intended sarcasm...but that's ultimately what it's all about....selfworship & letting yourself be worshipped....even if it amounts to little in the daily life...may be???....still it's wrong...the wrong way"

"I guess you intend to ultimately blame God."
