Actually there is a book called "God is not Great!" by some self-proclaimed secular atheist (as opposed to religious atheist).
Secularists can be as fanatic as any fanatic follower of any other religion, or as I normally translate it, fanatics of any ideology including lack of ideology. A distorted form of self protection, I think.
