The Cuban (Communist) nation does the most awesome medical outreach all over the world, not just in Latin American; they do a lot in Africa, also. There are actually 60,000 Cuban doctors
OUTSIDE of Cuba specifically to help provide
medical sevices to those in need. They provide FREE medical education with the specific stipulation that, upon completion, the graduated doctor will return to their country of origin to live in and provide medical services in the ghettos and barrios where needed. There is an African-American girl from our city (Milwaukee)studying there now. (Yes, even Americans of Latin or African descent are welcome to participate). There's a movie called, "Salud" that shows this and is very professionaly done and thorough. Very educational.
