I would not call TF a Christian group but a Christianity-based group. Ah, deviant, good word to describe the teachings.
Christian group assumes a lot about the level of connection with the commonly known image of Christ. Their teachings is nothing of the sort.
A Christianity-based group, sort of what the mormon church is, is different. Their teachings have a base on some of the teachings of Christianity.
This may be splitting hairs but I can't stomach the idea that the TF has a connection with Christ as much as it has with some institutionalized view of Christianity.
The Jesus of The Family is not Christ - TF does not know the real Jesus, the Christ.
