What is this you have for the KJV? I haven't read that since I left the Family. It was so, so hard to understand. Mind you, my wife still likes it.
I've heard the arguments by the Tinitarian Society and agree that some of the versions have gone a bit far, but I do NOT think that validates the KJV by default. It's accurate in many ways but has mistranslations and its 400-year old wording is almost unintelligible in places.
And I notice many of the tracts pro-KJV and against other translations have double-underlined with 4 exclamation marks in a row and rows of all-cap text. In other words, a lot of pulpit pounding and hype.
I prefer the NKJV and noticed that the article you quoted below had very little bad to say about the translation, only riding the hobby horse of dissing the trinitarian symbol used on the front of the Bible. A lot of wasted verbal ammunition I think. It's a good, clear, honest, faithful translation.
