I came across this article
this morning that shows the connection between the Christian & Missionary Alliance, the sect Berg belonged to before forming his cult, and Stephen Harper, the PM of Canada.
I post the link here because of its historical interest to cult watchers and because it backs up some of my observations in the thread below on the similarities between TF and evangelicals. Though it does contain some political elements, I don't think too many people outside of Canada pay much attention to Canadian politics, unlike U.S. politics which effect the world, so this should pass the political litmus test for postings here.
