I re-read what I said and I may be so out of it that I don't see anything, not even sarcasm, in what I wrote that I would consider offensive. In fact, I agree with Perry but he seems to be fixating in feeling attacked and set himself to act in defensive mode, so I walked away. I am not being sarcastic at all. I say it plainly. Am I having a bad day? Nope.
If my way of communicating is so bad, I am sorry, I was plain (again, I repeat, plain). Read the thread again. I never said all those things that Perry is saying I did. Did I say something in between the lines? Maybe but whatever it was I was not aware of it. I tried to be as clear as I could but may be I am not able to express myself as well as you and others, certainly Perry for whom I am not even able to read well.
Perry said many offensive things I chose not to address.
Or maybe this whole reaction is that some people didn't like the parallel between cultic behavior in a cult and cultic behavior in a much larger culture.
