Your interpretations are more in line with the social gospel, which has deceived many for generations. Jesus said that his kingdom was not of this earth. In the parable of the prodigal son, the father is joyful that his son has returned - a metaphor for a Christian who has fallen away, but returns to God. The brother shows resentment b/c of the father's desire to celebrate his return. The entitlement is to all who believe in God - we have a heavenly inheritance, but we will not all receive the same rewards. Of course, the reward that all believers receive is eternal life in God. That's, by far, the most important inheritance.

There is no disagreement with some of your other summations, such as feeding the poor, but he also said that the poor would always be with us.
There will be no secular Utopian government. There may be one that attempts to fool the masses into believing that it's possible, but the reality will be very different. Men without God will continue to deceive no matter what their political leanings.

The Christians on the left that I'm aware of cry out,"feed the poor" while killing the unborn. They say no to fossil fuel while they fly their private jets. They put alcoholic homosexuals in high places within the church. They say that the Jesus of the Bible is not the real Jesus at all, and that we must adapt the teachings of the Bible to our modern way of thinking. They are blind leaders of the blind.

I'm not suggesting that the so-called right is right about everything, and that they don't display their own forms of hypocrisy.
