Earlier on GenX you said:
Yes, I am referring to the current economic crisis. I personally see a relationship among unchecked greed and religious fanaticism but it was not my intention to establish a link.
------------------------------------------------
I asked you then if you would tell us just what the relationship is. But you evaded the question.
Later you said on Journeys:
Though most Christians are genuine and sincere, the philosophies they follow are on sand. That foundation and the building above is what I consider perverted - all as a whole.
------------------------------------------------
When one makes statements of this kind, it is that individual's burden to demonstrate that that statement is true by offering some examples and evidence. It is not our (the readers) responsibility to do the research. We didn't make the claims.
-------------------------------------------------
In a later post you said:
I make a difference between the building (the doctrines, ideas, philosophies, the culture of a particular building, or church)and the people who go into those buildings (the well meaning Christians). To me, the foundation is wrong and the building is wrong. American Christianity is the building that has been perverted.
-------------------------------------------------
I simply ask you what those "doctrines, ideas, philosophies," are. It is disingenuous for you to say to me, "I guess this is where you MUST do your homework (or is it just be open and listen to your self?)" Why are you so hesitant to back up the claims that you so strongly believe? I might have a hunch or two as to what you may be addressing, but it isn't my responsibility to fill in the blanks. I may or may not be wrong. And how can I reply or address the claims made by someone who WON'T give us the evidence? If you are no longer interested in this discussion, that's fine. We can drop it, but it's dishonest to denigrate a huge group of people without giving some evidence or examples to back your opinions.
