If God would not knowingly let someone that is saved be deceived how is it people came to receive Christ without knowledge of the abusive doctrines. Were they not saved also? I had no knowledge of God before I came to Jesus through a family member who also had no idea of the hidden doctrines. Does that make my conversion and the following belief in the bible and heartfelt acceptance of Christ false? I think you may be measuring everything by your own perceptions. If salvation is not by grace then it is to be found in dogma, doctrine and works. It cannot be both. Berg et al is such a convoluted mess with most being victims. I didn't join the family to have sex, which you indicate is one of your reasons for joining. This is not an attempt to attack that but to illustrate we came from many walks of life and we were all taken in by a spiritual abuser.
