SY claims only God is ultimate judge of right and wrong and that chimpanzees do not. Yet there is extensive research on the higher primates and it is evident that they are social animals as we are. The male leader protects all members of the group from predators. He goes with hunting with others and shares the meat. He helps fallen infants. The females care for their young. If a chimp does a favor for another one, expects to receive a favor in return---reciprocity. And there is much more.
The Babylonians codified these laws found in the Ten Commandments some 4-5,000 years ago because it helped to adjust human group-behavior into a simple code all can agree on. They just attributed them to "God."
We are moral beings because we are shaped to be social animals by millions of years of evolution. I am personally proud of what we humans have accomplished, considering our humble origins. We have not "fallen." We have risen ourselves.
