Thinker...ehem...you were damaged...I was damaged...to different degrees, but we recuperated in certain areas, no?I believe, that man suffers in general damage here on earth, inflicted sometimes through our own stupidity (lack of good knowledge) and sometimes through the recklessness of others (may be not heeding any warning signals ourselves)....whatever
But the sheer coincidence of a "product"/flyer is not a solid proof (just a "buzz-pic), that the methods are similar...meaning, that anything is fraudolous.I am not fully in the know about the history of the hospital in the mountains, but it's clear, that there is a huge need there under the underpriveleged Indios...and the funds got together largeley through donations...
It's evident, that you need support...supporters...otherwise you can't operate...and if the supporters have themselves the right motive in giving & peace about it (whether Sophie the washerwoman-like or not)...then I believe that everything is ok.The basic motive is to help, where otherwise government-funding isn't available, as in so many poor countries...isn't something similar happening via tax-paying in the rich west?...with the result, that you have countless reports about the abuse/misuse of tax-funds...the church could have done better with all their funds in history and the governments as well..it's the black pot vs. the kettle I assume.
Here are some of the biographies, which - though I have'm in books - inspired me after leaving, that there are really decent mission/love/charity-minded people(Christians) besides the many questionable folks in history:
One is Georg Müller...who never openly asked for funds from what I know & remember:
üller
I still would have to finish his biography...oh well, missing time...
the other biography I devoured after leaving...the one of Hudson Taylor:
