That's my cue I suppose.
No human on earth has a godly name. All are sinners and those who pretend otherwise are liars.
The more they pretend the bigger the lie.
Ro 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Billy Graham is a media evangelist who has made millions off of God's name. Much the same as Jerry Fallwell, Pat Robertson, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggart, Bob Jones and a lot of others.
His international campaigns enlisted the service of hundreds of thousands of unpaid volunteers over the years while raking in hundreds of millions of dollars.
Where did it all go?
Some went to finance the campaigns, but after expenses the bulk of it went into Billy's pockets. There are no Billy Graham hospitals helping poor people. There is no Billy Graham relief fund. Nothing.
But Billy does have a lot of property and his kids are very comfortable. That's ok. But it doesn't make him a holy man.
The fact that he has happy kids and grandkids and loves his wife doesn't mean much. Mafia bosses have happy kids and grandkids too and some of them may even love their wives.
He started off as a southern Baptist preacher doing the revival circuit and he pretty much toed their party line until the Nixon era.
But at that time he abandoned Baptist doctrine and turned towards one-world ecumenicalism.
He has gone so far as to suggest that those who reject Christ might be saved some other way.
Some might consider that to be heretical. What do you think about it. Do you believe that there is another backdoor into the sheepfold?
The biggest controversy surrounding him is his link to Masonism.
He admits to having witnessed a Masonic ceremony where someone acceeded to the 33rd degree of Scottish Rite Masonism. The Masons never allow any outside spectators at any ceremony. For the 33rd degree only other 33rd degree Masons are allowed to be present. In a totally seperate case a 33rd degree Mason who left Masonism for Christ stated that Billy Graham was present at his ceremony.
The math is pretty simple.
What's more a masonic website listed Billy Graham as being a Mason until (at his request) his name was removed.
He has spoken at Masonic activities. Of course he didn't mention Christ as being divine when he did so. (it's against their religion)
Believe whatever you like.
But don't try to impress us with the sanctity of the holy name of Billy Graham.
He's just another big money preacher.
