"Your answer to my question "And why is the concept of Buddha not an illusion itself?" was rather like a "if you knew that you would have to be God" answer for "who made God" questions."
In the fellowship I attend, we've been studying the Book of Job, which is about the mystery of suffering. The basic answer to the most profound questions, imo, "If I knew that, I would be God"--which is also Job's answer.
There's another level to this, though, which is that while I don't know many answers to life's mysteries on an intellectual level, I "know" through a relationship of love and trust that there is a power greater than myself at work in the universe. I choose to call that power God. By choosing to call that power God and identify it with the Judeo-Christian tradition, I've entered into an "I/Thou" dialog as a basis of spiritual practice. Which is why I'm definitely NOT Buddhist!
