You asked: "when was the last time you were in a Christian church to worship?"
Last week.
You wrote: "As far as music is concerned there is more varied styles of music in churches than one can keep track of."
But the church staples are very same-ish.
You wrte: "As far as helping the poor of the world, I believe western Christian Churches have done incredible things."
Yes, I am not putting down Christian charity, but they have also worsened problems. Western church groups often opt and support ways to "help" which do not benefit long-term development and sustainability, especially when tied in with conditional policies for trade with the West.
You wrote: "One ministry I am familiar with and have supported goes into African Muslim villages, and with the blessing of village leaders, with $5000 built a well and a church. In one service in not such a large church (about 300-500)members $10000 was given to build two. This is isolated from a church in Clearwater, FL. Is the world better or worse from the actions of the Church?"
I'd like to see the day the village leaders say, "no we don't want a church but you're welcome to build a well for us," and the church agrees to build a well.
