A "straw man argument" is exactly what I am talking about. A true Christian being against the environment or excusing an abuse of it is By definition notr acting in a Christian manner.
Ergo, exclusively redefinig "christian" AS "against the environment" is absurd. In PR and marketing, it is called "reframing", and is intellectually fraudulent.
My point was missed/avoided.
I had to face an attitude in myself, of extreme self-righteousness and a "know-it-all" attitude upon exitinng the cult. I actually had no access to any real proof of what the "bulk of christian churches in the United States" actually believed anad/or practiced.
I had taken Berg's point of view on that; in actual fact.
Regardless os where it is said to be promoted, it is definititionally still not Christian to be anti-environment, and it is, IMHO, a rather simple thing to realize, outside of political weirdness.
Just my "two cents".
