But then again, we have similar background having had The Family's initiation and our leaving TF. I suspect we might have a stronger character than we know or take credit for. We probably went through similar thinking patterns, maybe critical thinking skills. We want to live free from coercion. We probably have more common ideas than we think. This actually makes me wonder how much we, ex members of The Family, have in common. We already know of a few traits related to abhorring thought control, and having an analytical disposition.

To answer your questions,

I see chauvinism in the OT but not in the NT (patriotism is not compatible with Christianity). I don't think misogyny is in the OT. I think Paul is expressing not a personal attitude against women in his letters but they are more an application of the what was happening in society at large. In that sense he was not revolutionary.

However, Berg "the revolutionary leader" was, in my mind advancing his own disdain for women in his letters when he blasted them, or when he pushed them into prostitution.

But he also showed some disdain against some males, specially those with testosterone. WEas he a closet homosexual? Funny he supported some women with testosterone too. Ha! Being a male, does this makes me a closet misogynist. Hmmm.
