Here is the verse Hebrews 13:17 from the NIV. It is a bit different when read in full context is which is how scripture should be read. TF took basically all scripture out of context, so they did anything but care for your soul soul.
Being an associate pastor and knowing without out a doubt the senior pastor at church cares for my soul, I learn and obey with joy. It is spiritual and at the same time like having a boss or manager in charge, only in a church/spiritual setting those in charge are much more accountable. So here's the verse and I won't even pass the plate after the sermonette.
Hebrews 13:17 NIV Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
