Dear Traveler in India...to continue on a ...milder/modest note..sorry...I didn't want to harm your sentiments...you have "the right" ; ) ... to love that country.....I do too...but my "patience"/tolerance...good opinion has its limits especially when my sense of fairness and righteousness is hurt

In India "shit" is bound to happen:...like I said...when someone influential or many little people get converted...especially to Christianity...since the Muslim community is much bigger and harder to attack.

Or if some lovebirds on the countryside decide to have a love-affair...intention to marry...without consent of their parents, being "blind" (by love) of their personal casts and social belongings...often they get killed..I hope, you know that????

Or when you tread on the toes(interests) of very powerful/influential people, either as a journalist, politician or just common man.
That's when you can get into the mill of those in power...things like that happen of course also elsewhere, but "official/bureaucratic forces" look generously the other side...low wages being one reason

So it's not only about own experience...e.g. when Hindus went on rampage in Delhi..also going through the district, where we lived,
ransacking the houses and properties of Sikhs (In whole trains the people were massacred)(Sikhs doing the same in Punjab)...but it's also about what I happen to read since years...I don't assume they are all fake reports/incidents...plus enough movies happen to exist about these cases

In one thing I must agree, given the amount of people in India...taking the long history...well, then India was very peaceful by world-standard and conflicts in general.

Also Jews enjoyed their biggest peace probably in India...but they do not convert...also not the adherents of Bahai-religion, with such big lotus-temple in Delhi, which got constructed while I was still there...in other places they got persecuted..same is true for the Parsians etc....but as I said...they do not convert...so they are enjoying their peace in India and hardly grow, rather die out, like the Jews and even Parsians, from what I remember

I was last 1989 in India (In Bombay/Mumbai...Mr Thackery is quite a "regionalist", threatening all, who still call it Bombay...I saw in the eighties Indian girls with very short Minis and some with blue/punkish streaks in the hair, those are the cosmopolitical Indians, I am not talking about)...and only can go again, when I have the money saved up and some more time to roam around...
shall see..wish you continued wonderful experiences there...if you have time, I wished you would tell me/us about it!!
