"Still with what is in it, it gives cause to think, especially with the anti-God, secular humanism so prevalent in places of higher learning today."

You are very right about that...the main lesson
I could & have so far drawn from it, that somebody
was bold enough & stood up..that's the marvel of it imo,
whether the story is real or somewhat constructed.
(I prefer the ones, where the sources etc. are named...if to be taken for real...otherwise people
tend to chalk that up as "christian chauvinism" or the like (superiority complex)

Humanism is "preying" on people's minds for a longer period...and even the church-fathers had their trouble with all kinds of philosophers...if anything, such adverse "winds" just make you tougher...

The funny flipside to it:

When I was in the 2 years confirmation class as a then Lutheran at the age of 12-14, our pastor wanted to show us how he had bought these fancy,
unbreakable glasses for the church-services...we
all looked upon him in abetted amazement as he threw the glass for some metres across the wooden!!!...floor and to our big laughter it broke into many pieces...I'll never forgct that one..I hope...anyway he took it with lots of humour.
