I'd rather have a humanistic higher education system that teaches philosophy (attraction or affinity for knowledge, or thinking) than one that pushes a theology with ready-made opinions and thinking critical or asking questions out of script is a liability.

I'd rather have a higher education system that teaches people how to come to their own conclusions instead of pushing conclusions. Call it humanistic if you will but there are many Christians in higher education. They teach Christian values and probably more successfully than many so-called Christian churches because they are in the front lines where rubber hits the road real hard, and not in a protected environment where all think the same and act the same.
