I don't know what I believe other than to say that I believe there are enough unanswered questions to last an eternity.
So much that people do in the name of faith or explain by faith convinces me further(just talking my own personal journey here,) that not having to know or define who or what god is or isn't is a comfortable space for me to be in.
I think that my experience in converting to Christianity in the seventies was something I needed at the time because my world was so shaken and I was so insecure and I was a teen, so it helped me to be able to define things narrowly, but it eventually led to an unhealthy death of self the more things were defined.
I'd see the verses from the bible used to explain or define things, and I'd see how cult leaders or kings and queens of the past, or politicians, would define things to justify so much horror.
I guess that sort of means I have a bit of Zen Buddhist disposition. I kind of hate to say that because then it defines a belief.
I am just in awe of all the mysteries in the universe and what may lie beyond and how much is not known.
