I wouldn't want to even seek for a God that would threaten my soul with eternal damnation if I don't acknowledge that his son is the doorway and the only way to something better after this life, OR ELSE be eternal toast.
As far as life experiences and journeys go, the links you listed could be compiled by any religion or non-religion.
A few examples that come immediately to mind, the following could say they tried Christianity and it failed them, personally:
Cat Stevens- converted to Christianity and then converted to Islam which is now, and for decades has been the religion that he believes to be the true religion.
Bob Dylan, born Jewish, converted to Christianity and then back to his roots, Judaism.
So while some search and find Christianity their ultimate belief, others do not.
I am not against Christianity or those who espouse Christianity. I am glad you found something that personally gives you comfort.
