It seems, that the "ultimate weapon" against any universalist or universal redemption of some kind or reconciliation is Mt. 25:46...that's what kept me long from delving again into the subject, to get things straightened out more in my "mind" and "else" (plus I had other things on mind)...in any way, the opposition (to universal reconciliation) is strong (sometimes stronger rather with emotions , then with the best of arguments,..I think/observe... so I am not "foolishly" giving in to any side ; ) )...
However, I think it's good to look at the arguments of both sides, this is my general "concept" of approach, the truth has to lie within a certain "Word-interpretation-interval"...with the extreme-interpretations (one can find and hear) flanking on both sides...this is what made me debunk my "idol" (TF-groomed)...seperation/remarriage under certain conditions for Christians (!!!emphasis here)...it was a matter of the better arguments and consistency OT and NT
Now with this reconciliation-"stuff"...I am starting anew...kind of skimmed through a work of Prof Stroeter and the like...
I know since 15 years now, that olam (from alam) in the OT can mean dark and hidden...so a time-span not really known (beginning or end)...that's the way my Hebrew-expert-friend got it then across
The following is an article, I found first translated into German and "for your sake's" googled it...to find the original English...well...took quite long...since it's assumably full of a lot of facts...I think the reader can just in any way profit from it:
There are many other articles, I know...but that one is already quite "exhaustive" for a start.
Of course, the drawback of reconciliation is, they say in the missionary-approach...people could just "take it easy"...they say...it's not an argument, that has a lot of weight with me...you want your brothers and sisters to be found...those inside the city...all I know for now is, that not all can enter anyway and beyond that, nothing is really revealed
I guess Hebrews 4:12 all along the line
