The subject is very deep. I am now involved in a couples ministry as a couples pastor. The ministry is called ThreeFold Cord, which speaks for itself. As stated as Christians we need to strive for and make God preminent in our marriage. I can't speak for non-Christian marriage as there is not the bond of Christ holding things together and the goal to hold Christ up as He holds us up.
