We don't live in an ideal world, but one that is fallen. That is the reason for Christ in forgiving our sins and giving us the example to forgive others. There is no grading scale on sin of which is the worse and the least of sin.Sin is sin, which I have in my life, your ex-wife has in her life and if I am not mistaken you have in your life. I sense, but I could be wrong that you harbour ill will toward your ex and it seems that it could be a weight in your life. If you do have this weight in your life forgivness could be a start to lighten the load.
I am not you and only know you from here at ExFam. I hesitate to say what I've said but it just seems with forgivness it could possibly bring final closure to this dark area of you and your family's life. Forgive me if I got preachy, it was not my intention.
