Lost tribes

I am again reading up/"researching" about ancient customs (veiling e.g., marriage ceremonies) in diverse old civilisations...I am intrigued by the
"persistence" over all the millenia...I also "marveled" about the jewish roots in India already some time back and am taking that subject up again...interestingly enough, the Jews enjoyed a life with the least persecution in India...I had gathered that some time ago...this coincides with my observation, that even now you can follow your religion in India as long as you don't proselytise/convert anyone.

The veil (dupatta) was worn of Indian woman before the muslim area, out of respect for relatives/elders and in prayer etc.....wished, that Christian woman knew a bit more about all that.

It has been before argued, that the Kashmerees were descendants of Israels lost tribes...whether that is unfounded, I don't know yet...
