The "neatness" of the quote simply hinges on the def. of Christianity...since truth is utterly linked in christian faith/the Word to Jesus...as we all know here...it just begs the question : where is Christ separated from Christianity?...if a Christian is per def. of the Bible (Acts 11:26)
a real disciple...then the question is, whether he/she is closely following Jesus or rather afar off...what I would "warn against" is condemning others/judging others in the things I am myself guilty of...(or even if not...coming across very self-righteously)...without confessing that and showing some understanding and mercy...
for guilty we're all...therefore we can't really cast any stones...though I think we can warn "dieing branches/churches"...or stray sheep and should show thankfulness for that what others show us...where we go astray...there's more than just Elijah/hyperbolically...who didn't budge
the solution though is also not an all out ecumenical effort...compromising..."loving all the churches...no matter what" (not just the own one)...in the end/bottom line...very true though...it's all about loving Jesus/the truth the most.
