PD:

Something I am sure you are aware of s an AG pastor:

Some of us believe we MUST warn people, in love, against sins/behaviors which we deeply believe, from Scripture, will keep them from Heaven. Some of those things are the basic tenets of PC liberal theology, and are, frankly, as Farmer pointed out, some of the same illogical arguments used in TF by Berg.

The Internet makes it possible to read, in our own languages, what was believed by ALL of the Early Church Fathers, and that Calvinism/Reform Theology only came along in the early 1500s. Berg used Calvinism as an occasion tot he flesh.

"Doctrinal" is, of course, not bad per se. The disciples in Acts,, "continued in the Apostles' doctirn...". Timothy was encouraged to "reprove, rebuke and exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine...", which I am sure Farmer uses, even if I don't as weel as he does.

In some of our differences, one side is bound to be wrong sometimes: homogeneity does not equal truth; necessarily.

A real relationship with Jesus is paramount, imo, as well. I like the Mercy Me song, as well, but the Scripture, historically believed, not denominationaly; with all respect, is what "really puts things in perspective".

Please, don't insinuate that I was not trying to "tell it in peace and love."

Denominational pastors don't have a monopoly on care and spiritual watchfulness for others. I have led hundreds of people to the Lord post-TF, since 1974, and have always teered them to good churches, as they wee led.

God bless you for your intention--I am already a "journeyman Christian"; though, so-to-speak!

'Later!
