this is old to me...as I am aware of some of the fund-mismanagements since ever I spent some years of my life in Italy...the same I bet is true in the countries where the Catholic church operates...of course depending on the wealth of that particular country...This article covers only the latest developments in Germany...just besides the pretty awful past (and present):
My take with other churches: church/history minus all the (known) bad in history...leaves either some substantially good by biblical standard or way too little...to the point of getting frustrated...I am of course not exactly sure, where the Catholic church is at...only God has all the facts, but one can agonize about their performance...for me just the main "sect",
I would have to leave too...but alas, I am neither catholic nor lutheran anymore
