I am sure Pastor Don can and even wants to answer that...so I simply add my 2 cents worth of a comment...
The point is, that those 4 points taken out, most of'm have relevance in the sermon on the mountain....Jesus telling them: you have been told...but I tell you...
People could selfrighteously claim to have not committed adultery, but men easily do, by lusting after woman...if there were a "safe" opportunity...no one looking/bothering ...many men would try to get away with it...and others would not be better either...it's also about loyality in heart, mind, soul...something I believe God can create in a yielded heart of his child...God wants men to be perfect, even as HE is...but I think that is not overnight and the sermon on the mountain proves to me how holy God is and how holy Jesus lived.
One should not overlook either, that the ten commandments were given to the people of Israel...
NT-laws...living rules...all laws fulfilled in the two laws to love God wholeheartedly and one another (TF mixed eros up with agapae) are kind of superior to the ten commandments, especially if weakly/fleshly applied by the Jews and us other mortal men...without the help of His spirit there is no way, to become very loving.
