"I have been lurking on these boards for quite a while because I do enjoy a lot of the music made by members of COG and TFI. That is not to excuse the leadership and corruption of many FG members. My favorite song would have to be "Ain't It Good to Know" that was recently recorded by Susan Justice (formerly Cagle) but written by Kirk Allen while he was a member of COG."
Hi, Thieme...nice to have your response: I just want to give you my take...we a l l have been corrupted through Berg's evil seeds, depending how long one stayed in TFI ...thank your Jules for this definition (I always will hail you for this and other stuff!!!!)...(and depending how much one gave in to that message, my addition)...and with us, I mean the FGAs...in consequence, the SGAs got a very bad start into life...again my apologies for that to all out there in cyberland...
IMO...Berg wasn't too wrong about the musical inspiration stuff...musician's tend to go overboard straying from the simplicity in the Gospel (like all of us in the west etc. it seems...and from thereon to the rest of the world again)...others stray in their thought (temptation: science, technology...philosophy...nutrition, outward appearance etc.)...me included of course...
So I think he did harp with his letters on the right thing ( overloading the message with technical stuff...my wording...didn't read on the subject for decades too from him/actually I think it was Rick Joyner who warned the charismatic movement of something alike, using a supposed vision/dream, like a gigantic or something like that)...I used to have this TFI Bible album,Les enfants de Dieu, actually gave it away as a gift to a "sheep" and then thought it was a great attempt...I haven't listened to it for decades...
My all time favourite TFI-musician was Cana bird and the Mo-band...who just used Psalms only...straight word...long time before others just used straight the word for songs...
I used to listen to the Verses put to music by TFI even after I left...but then, when I realised all the sexual abuse going on by TFI and Jeremy being involved, I just couldn't anymore.I thought: right idea performed by the wrong people...or rather unconfessing sinners
I used to listen a lot to Susan Cagle, once she was mentioned on the boards...very fine/ wonderful person...ain't it good to know
is self-explanatory for believers...but not necessarily to unbelievers...it is sort of ambiguous, if I remember the text right...the youtube clip is blocked in my country.TFI had a lot of songs for the GP...general public...salvation message in the end...kind of a very good idea..they even stressed, that such songs shouldn't be listened to all the time for full time disciples...as the message in it wasn't really that feeding...and I agree.
This is where I also see some real lack in the churches of today...some songs in either beat or wording is leaving me a bit
in "revolt"...I don't sing along in church...even if I manage the text and the harmonies...cause I consider it a bad worship song...it's rather a song for the searching and people don't seem to discern that...on the other hand in the churches you have visitors who haven't made a decision yet for Christ and so the songs have their place to...but I don't sing then along...or sometimes the message is wrong...the first who woke me up to that was evangelist William Lerrick 10 years back...since then I don't sing everything along, just because it happens to be a "happy tune"...
Here are some artists...little selection... I had mostly linked here on the board...who are neither afraid of the name of Jesus or the Word of God in their texts...something you can't say for many artist in the "spiritual scene" (also not TFI, diluting their message...sounding really gnostic)...for they want to sell their songs and live of it...so some seem to water down the message, like TF
I would wish Susan Justice, that besides aspiring some sort of artistic fame and livelihood/lifestyle/good income from it...she would also find/stick to t h e eternal message...which is only in Christ...ain't it good to know????

Yesu Nakupenda Rose Muhando sings praises to Jesus
Jesus,I love you.Lord Jesus, I love you.I love you because you first loved me,then you sacrificed your life for me,I love you.
You took my sins upon yourself on the cross, placed them at calvary, now I am free,so I'm singing for you.Who do I compare you to,my savior?I'm proud of you.Who can stand in your place? There is none like you.I know you love me.When I was in satan's camp, I got sick.Relatives and friends ran away from me,but Jesus had mercy on me,who do I compare you to, my Lord?

Chevelle Franklin singing a great worship song in the Maranatha Church, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The following song is also performed in the church I go to...but I think it's not so much a worship song, rather to the seeking...also the tune is really on the "pretty modern"-side...some guitarists like their phasing etc. ; )
But I think you have worship-songs in techno, punk...heavy metal-style.....not my road....but I guess the intention is to reach
souls stuck in that genre
