c.1300, from O.Fr. arrogance (12c.), from L. arrogantia, from arrogantem (nom. arrogans) "assuming, overbearing, insolent," prp. of arrogare "to claim for oneself, assume," from ad- "to" (see ad-) + rogare "ask, propose" (see rogation).
I admit...it was a proposal...because...yes the Bible makes general statements..like such and such for all x...and for you can include any handle..name...person on earth
Without ever having seen or heard about anyone...I can safely say/assume (by biblical standard) about the other...that he/she is a sinner...might be shocking to the other...(I had one Indian interrupt me in the 80ies there while praying with him:..."but I have not committed any sins"...I had failed to explain that better first to him!!!)
Without having wanted to offend you...still I cannot help but telling you...or any other... the good news...God loves us inspite of any sin we committed.
For me that is a tremendous relief...even if it means nothing to you yet??!
Even if that was overbearing by first glance...I hope...it hasn't looked as insolent...my consciousness at least tells me, that I didn't want to hurt your feelings...simply suggesting, what I believe is the right, best way to know things for sure.
The people that I have loved best...my children...I have suggested them that way...and yet they didn't accuse me yet...being mature...off age now
Know what I mean???...
I tell you these things out of concern...but if you want to take that as an offense???
