I've been looking at all your recent posts. I'm not assuming you must be, but if you are an "athiest for Jesus," that might make us similar. I am a believer who can relate to athiests for some reason. And I am almost allergic to religious gatherings and abhor unquestioning minds. I also think it is only healthy to examine your own faith, why you believe what you do, and to be open to those who might have questions along these lines.
I followed Pastor Don's links below, and I had no stomach for the earnest-yelling-preacherman thing in the last two clips either. (Sorry PD!) It's not everyone's cup of tea. And if you have been subjected to Berg or leaders sermonizing in this way, especially if you are SG, that can be a helluva turn-off.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I gather you have questions about whether it's necessary to believe in Jesus' divinity, and why we can't simply following his teachings without the divinity aspect.
