OT2 you must write a book...for the sake of some and even me...I learn a lot through your posts.
The thing with many an intellectual is, that they forget how amazingly...incomprehensibly smart godand the Lord Jesus are...if they happen to believe in God.Love builds up...knowledge puffeth up...oneself.
It's a big problem: pride
If anything describes the decline of the West...the world in general...it's pride...or in Germany's case, putting down...then persecuting/annihilating the Jews...shocking how smart they are and sad to say, that doesn't make them "see" Jesus either...You can totally "overlook" the messianic prophecies...
That might be a lever with your stepfather...may be??
Ask him, whether he knows anyone with that precise predictions about him...his life.
People try often to have their righteousness "shown off"...when the Lord Jesus got baptised he letit happen, that all righteousness might be fulfilled...through HIM and only HIM...that's the only life pleasant to God having lived here...debtless...whereas we piled debts up.
I thank God for this wonderful chance of forgiveness...not accepting it, means to "put forth"...show forth your own filthy righteousness...
TFI was /is right...selfrighteousness stinks...that is pretty much biblical...I don't mind to stress, where I agree with them...makes my criticism all the more plausible.A group has to be attractive...even if she deceives later.Only the very wicked are attracted by undiluted wickedness...so you have a sugarcoated bad lifestyle in TFI.
The bitter you taste later...or the poison.
Buuuuut....I am here to stress again and again, that the world is also to be "attacked", criticised for it's evils and sins..Sometimes after TFI I felt for a while "comfy"...just to adjust myself...only to realise then again, how stupid the world is and how lost without the Gospel and how few seem to be "ready"???...the rest is in various churches.
Perilious times...good to see you hanging in there...stronger than ever I assume???...or may be since long on a steady level...I wish I would learn more to take things humbly
