Concerning her book, also remember the publisher and audience -- Zondervan and evangelical Christians. She had to stay within a certain mindset or paradigm.
Two years ago someone who knows Deb & co. said that her home was in fact 'a cult after the cult.' Very strict, fundamentalist. Sad.
As much as I found her book too sweeping, too black and white, there is a lot of food for thought in it.
I'm starting to read 'Toxic Faith' by Arterburn and Felton. Looks fascinating. Time for my yearly deprogramming/deconstructing session :) When will I be normal???
Btw, while I here with the religious folk -- anyone heard of Leanne Payne -- writer? What is your take on her? Another exer swears by her.
