Something along the same lines but with more action, without explosions and machine guns, is "No Way Out" starring Kevin Kostner, Gene Hackman.
I'm always looking for something new and unpredictable, but not too far off artsy-fartsy. Some of the movies that impressed me before may no longer amuse me, because they inevitably wear out a theme and become predictable, and my sick appetite for the even more crazy unusual stories grows and grows.
