I read your post and felt like being in a patch of land similar to what you see in "The Sound of Music". These questions are presented nicely and they beg for an answer. I wish I could speak ov the Bible with great knowledge but I cannot.

To me the Bible is the Word of God but only in part. I consider God's word as something very present in all things surrounding me and I only have to learn how to read it, or hear it. The Bible has some good stories but leave out a lot. Part of the problem is the religion and the organization we, as humans, try to generate and then convince others to believe. I have questioned ideas that go from the famous "great commission" to tithing and other traditional christian duties as determined by the traditions of men.

I live under the principle that questions are critical to life because otherwise there would be no answer, so I appreciate your questions. I look forwards to read the comments from those who know more than me but I just wanted to add my two cents of congratulations for your stance here.
