As a teen I was seriously interested in eastern religions, mysticism, the Lemurian Fellowship, Atlantis, UFOs, telepathy, astral projection, wicca was fascinating and anything spritual was interesting as long as it wasn't part of the stuffy Christian churches. Ha. I believed in God but didn't believe in the "devil" until some incidents convinced me.

While astral projecting one night I was buffeted around the ceiling of my room by dark, evil spirits. It was terrifying. When I tried to get back down into my body, I couldn't get back in! If you know about astral projection, you know that you're supposed to be able to get back into your own body like water into a sponge. But I couldn't, so my spirit knelt down at the side of the bed where by body lay, and I prayed for God to forgive me for playing around with spiritual things like that, and suddenly I was back in my body.

Finally one night on a totally mind-boggling acid trip I sensed the presence of evil as I was starting down the first step of the stairs down into a hippy basement. The presence was so unmistakably real, personal, and unexpected that my acid trip turned into a trip to hell. Within a few days of my experience I became a Christian. Well, this is the short story anyway.
